Research in ecclesiastical law
In Poland there exists at present one society (PTPW – Polskie Towarzystwo Prawa Wyznaniowego / Polish Society of Ecclesiastical Law) which gathers professors as well as practitioners (officials, judges and legal advisers) concerned with ecclesiastical law. The aim of the society is to support the development of the science of ecclesiastical law, to promote achievements in ecclesiastical law and to integrate specialists working in this field. The society aspires to be scientific in character and therefore it does not identify with any outlook or philosophical, religious and political system. Its members may express views in these matters only on their own behalf. The society has its seat in Lublin. The president of the board is Tadeusz J. Zieliński (Chrześcijańska Akademia Teologiczna / Christian Theological Academy) and vice-presidents: Ryszard Mojak (Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej / Maria Curie-Sklodowska University), Artur Mezglewski and Piotr Stanisz (both from Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II / John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin).
