According to the latest statistics, more than 68% of the population in Luxembourg is Catholic. The rate drops to 1.8% for Protestants (including about 0.6% Anglicans), about 2% for Muslims, and less than 1% for Orthodox, Jews and Buddhists.
It can be argued that although the Catholic religion remains in the majority in Luxembourg, its importance is declining, particularly in favour of ’no religion’ and, to a lesser extent, Protestants and Muslims.
