An opinion poll

Conducted in February 2012, a survey on religion in the workplace in Belgium has appeared in the magazine Références.

Only 10% of those surveyed believe that religion is a problem at work, with 79% considering that it has no place there and that companies must not allow employees to display their beliefs or religious symbols. Whether for matters related to the veil, taking leave or meals, pragmatism and dialogue seem to be the general approach; equality of the sexes and equality of treatment between religions do, however, remain areas to be taken into account.
