A population predominantly Orthodox

According to the results of the 2008 wave of the European Values Study, 96.9% of the Republic of Cyprus’ population are Orthodox, with small minorities reported as Catholics (1.5%), Armenians (0.3%), Muslims (1%), Protestant (0,1%) and Buddhists (0.1%).
