A local implication

Social welfare in Sweden is a matter for the local communities. To a very limited extent, there are private run kindergartens and homes for elderly people. But those are mostly run in co-operation with the local community, so that the costs for them are covered through the local income taxes. Some churches are active in this area, under the same provisions as other.
