Education
The Greek Constitution does not explicitly stipulate Orthodox instruction, but it exists through the combination of article 3 (Orthodox religion is the dominant religion of Greece) and article 16 (development of students’ religious consciousness). Law 1566/85 of 1985 demands respect for the Orthodox standard in the religious instruction and that students be educated in a specifically orthodox consciousness that is in line with the Church’s doctrine.
